Schumann Music Studio

Founded in 2016 by concert pianist and recording engineer Dr. Elizabeth Schumann, the Schumann Music Studio is an acoustically beautiful recording space in the heart of San Francisco’s Noe Valley. Designed to help classical musicians sound, look, and feel their best, the studio offers a warm, welcoming environment alongside world-class recording capabilities. Its 9-foot Yamaha CFIIIS concert grand piano, sourced from the Yamaha Artists' Concert Reserve, is one of the finest recording studio pianos in the Bay Area and is maintained in impeccable condition.

In its early years, Dr. Schumann personally engineered and produced projects for a wide range of clients, from professional string quartets, members of the San Francisco Symphony, and National Public Radio to conservatory students making their first recordings. The studio quickly became a valued part of San Francisco’s classical music scene, producing professional albums, broadcast performances, and audition recordings for students accepted into leading conservatories and universities including Juilliard, Harvard, Yale, Princeton, and Stanford.

Located steps from local coffee shops, bookstores, and restaurants, the Schumann Music Studio combines technical excellence with a relaxed, inspiring atmosphere where musicians can focus entirely on their art. Today, it continues to serve as a trusted destination for high-quality classical music recording, offering an environment that captures the very best in performance.
